Our Staff

Our staff are dedicated to working hard to provide a safe and warm environment for the children at our nursery. All staff have safeguarding children and paediatric first aid training regularly and undergo enhanced CRB checks to ensure their suitability. We also give our staff good development opportunities and offer continuous training in order to keep them updated on the latest news within childcare.
 
All children have a member of staff assigned as their key person. This person acts as a key point of contact for parents and works to ensure the child is settled at the nursery and that their care and activities are tailored towards the child’s needs and interests.
 
Staff seniority can be identified by tabard colour: senior staff – red, qualified staff – green, trainees – blue, students – yellow.

NURSERY MANAGER

 

NATALIE BA (Hons) Early Years
My name is Natalie and I am the manager of Sunshine Day Nursery. I have worked in childcare for all of my working life, of which almost 15 years have been in nursery managerial positions. I have a real passion for childcare and I am dedicated to making the nursery a home from home for our children, and a place where they feel happy and secure while also gaining the tools they need to be ready for new adventures at big school.

LAUREN (NVQ2)
My name is Lauren and I work in pre-school. I have worked at Sunshine for three years and love the family feel of the nursery. We all treat the children as individuals and understand what makes each child special in their own way.


SIAN (NVQ2)
My name is Sian and I have worked at Sunshine Day Nursery for over a year. I have my level 2 qualification in childcare. I find this job so rewarding and love seeing the children develop and progress to be ready to move on to school.

KAREN
My name is Karen and I am the nursery cook. I design a four weekly rotating menu each term for the children and staff. I try to keep the meals as varied as possible and cater for a variety of dietary requirements.
